Reservations

All rentals are booked and signed online for a fast and seamless experience. Walk-ins are always welcome; however, booking in advance allows us to have your Bronco cleaned, prepared, and ready when you arrive. While we do our best to accommodate walk-in guests, vehicle availability cannot be guaranteed. Same-day rentals are available, and our Late Return Option may be requested for a $30 fee, allowing you to return your vehicle after our 5:00 PM closing time, until 9:00 PM, through our self check-in process. The minimum driver age is 25. Drivers ages 21–24 are welcome with a young driver fee. A valid, unexpired driver’s license is required for every driver.

Security deposit

A $200 security deposit hold is required at the time of pickup. Once the vehicle is returned in accordance with the rental agreement, the hold is released. Depending on your bank or credit card issuer, the funds are typically available again within 3-5 business days.

Insurance

Our Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) costs $15 per day and helps protect you from the cost of damage to the rental vehicle. In the event of a covered accident, your responsibility is limited to a $500 deductible, subject to the terms and exclusions of the Rental Agreement. Our Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) provides coverage for bodily injury or property damage you may cause to third parties while operating the rental vehicle, subject to the policy's terms, conditions, and exclusions.

You're welcome to decline our CDW and use your own auto insurance if it covers rental vehicles in Puerto Rico and includes at least $35,000 in physical damage coverage. Simply email proof of coverage to reservations@chocosbroncorental.com before your scheduled pick up. If proof of coverage is not received before pickup, our Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) will automatically be added to your reservation at $15 per day for the full rental period. Because the CDW is added due to the absence of required proof of insurance, it is non-refundable.

Cancellations

Plans can change, and we'll do our best to be fair.

• 7 or more business days before pickup: Eligible for a full refund.
• Between 2 and 6 business days before pickup: Eligible for a refund minus the greater of 30% of the reservation total or $100.
• Less than 2 business days before pickup: No refund. However, you'll receive a 6-month rain check for the amount paid, which may be applied toward a future reservation.
• No-shows: No refunds or rain checks will be issued, as the reserved vehicle has been held exclusively for your reservation and cannot be rebooked on little to no notice.
• Weather Exception: If your scheduled ferry to Culebra or flight between mainland Puerto Rico and Culebra is officially cancelled due to weather, you may qualify for a full refund. To request a refund, please email proof of the cancellation to reservations@chocosbroncorental.com. This exception applies only to transportation to or from Culebra and does not apply to flights arriving in Puerto Rico from other destinations.

Vehicle return

Return the vehicle at the same fuel level as pick-up. A 30-minute grace period applies after the established return time; hourly charges apply after that.
